The Beyerdynamic house sound, by the numbers
Across the 60 measured models, the most common tuning is bass-light (13 of 60, 22 percent). Next most common: bright (12), bass-heavy (11).
The model that needs the least correction is the DT 700 Pro X, with no band more than 1.6 dB from neutral. The one that needs the most is the DT 48 S (5 Ohm), off by up to 9.7 dB before EQ.
