A simpler equalizer, custom presets, and a batch of real fixes.

• Simpler graphic EQ. Six broad bands with plain names: Sub, Bass, Mid, Treble. It is a coarse view of the same EQ the parametric view edits: moving a slider adjusts the matching parametric bands, your Signature shows up on the sliders, and Reset returns everything to flat.
• Custom EQ presets (Signature Edition). Save the current EQ under a name and it appears in a Your presets section. Selecting your preset and saving again updates it in place.
• Fixed: sound stayed muted after a hearing test. Music now resumes on its own the moment a test closes, on Windows and Mac.
• Fixed: In The Round favored the left ear. The back source now carries balanced content.
• Fixed (Mac): play/pause did nothing. The buttons now control Spotify and Apple Music; macOS asks for permission once.
• Every test has Back and Exit. Back returns one step (previous frequency, or the test intro); the X leaves the test at any time. Test results apply on their own when a test finishes.
• Input locked to the virtual cable. A microphone can never become Atrium's input, and the setup wizard rescans your devices every time it opens.
• Refreshed home page and sidebar. One Environments row on Home, a Current setup card in the sidebar showing your EQ, room, and spatial arrangement, and recent EQ presets in one place.
• New defaults. Fresh installs start in the Terracotta Light theme with the Music profile. Existing choices are kept.
• Sign in with Google on the website, for both the site and the app's device sign-in.

Atrium is now on Mac, plus audio and interface fixes.

• Atrium for Mac. A signed and notarized Mac build, using the free BlackHole virtual driver. Opens with a normal double-click.
• Audio picks your output automatically. On a fresh launch, Atrium now selects a working output device on its own instead of you having to pick one each time. It never routes into the capture cable by mistake.
• Fixed: the thin light line at the bottom of the window.
• Cleaner top bar. The settings gear moved into the profile menu, and your avatar now shows your account initials.
• The mini player tidies up. Opening it now sends the main window to the tray, and closing it brings the window back.
• Faster sign-out of removed devices. A revoked session now signs out within an hour instead of at the next restart.
• macOS audio reliability: correct device enumeration on recent macOS, unique device labels, and automatic sample-rate matching. On Mac the bottom-bar player also controls Spotify and Apple Music, and standard shortcuts (Cmd+R, copy, paste, quit) work.

Atrium now uses accounts.

• Sign in to use Atrium. Create a free account in seconds; your browser opens, you approve the PC, and you're in. Your subscription and settings follow the account to any PC.
• Settings live on your account. Theme, hearing tests, profiles, rooms and EQ sync while you use the app. Signing out resets this PC to defaults; signing back in restores everything. Audio device routing stays on the PC.
• Manage everything in one place. Settings → Account → Manage account opens your account page: subscription, password, connected devices, and account deletion.
• New price: $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year. Existing subscriptions keep their current price.
• A shorter first-run setup. One hearing test, about 5 minutes. The other tests moved to Personalize.
• Free and Signature tiers adjusted. Free: 9-band graphic EQ, generic headphone profile, the hearing test, bass enhancement, balance and volume boost. Signature adds the parametric EQ, the 4,300+ headphone database, the remaining tests, spatial audio and every enhancement.
• Settings cleanup: output device and UI sounds moved to Audio Devices; several info panels removed.

A shorter spatial test, plainer wording, and a spatial audio fix.

• Fixed: sources drifting out to the walls. Applying a room repeatedly pushed your 3D sources further out each time until they piled up against the walls and the arrangement lost its shape. Saved arrangements now keep their intended positions. If an arrangement was already affected, re-pick the arrangement and save it to the room again to reset it.
• The spatial test is shorter. The front/back and movement sections now stop as soon as your accuracy is clear, so a confident listener answers fewer questions. Accuracy of the result is unchanged.
• Plainer wording throughout the app. Descriptions now say what each control does, without the marketing language.
• Fixed: the welcome screen showed the old product name.
• The audio setup guide now shows only the Windows instructions.

Smarter tuning, faster tests.

• The hearing tests are faster and sharper. All four now adapt to your answers as you go · the threshold test builds a continuous audiogram, and the loudness, masking, and spatial tests stop the moment they're confident. Less time, more accurate.
• New Parametric EQ. Switch the Equalizer to a precise multi-band editor · up to 20 bands with adjustable frequency, gain, and Q. It seeds from your Signature, so every tweak refines your personalization instead of starting from flat.
• 4,000+ headphone presets. Search a large AutoEq-based database and apply a neutral correction curve for your exact model.
• One-tap Signature on the Equalizer. Apply your full personalized tuning to the EQ page with a single button.

More in the free tier, and simpler spaces.

• Sound Preferences and L/R Ear Balance are now free. Tune your taste and correct the natural difference between your ears without Signature Edition.
• A focused set of acoustic spaces · Recording Studio, Concert Hall, Bedroom, and Outdoor Space, each carefully modelled. (Custom rooms stay in Signature.)
• A bypass toggle is back on Home. Flip Atrium's processing off for an instant raw-audio A/B from the Live audio card · the Ctrl+Shift+A hotkey still works too.

• Fixed: opening the mini player from the bottom-bar button could crash Atrium. (Opening it from the tray menu always worked.)

Much lighter on the Spatial Audio tab.

• The 3D soundstage and object mixer were redrawing far more than they needed to, driving CPU and GPU use up whenever that tab was open. They now update efficiently · same look, a fraction of the cost.

Lighter and tidier.

• Lower CPU while you listen. The spectrum analyzer now uses a far cheaper method, and Atrium no longer wastes effort drawing meters when it's tucked away in the tray.
• Windows remember where you put them. The main window's size and position · and the mini player's spot · now persist across launches.
• A handful of empty-state and label fixes so nothing reads as broken on the light themes.
• The compare/bypass buttons are gone from the interface (the Ctrl+Shift+A hotkey still does it).

A more finished Atrium, and Signature Edition.

• A custom titlebar in Atrium's own colors replaces the plain Windows bar · themed to match, with the Oculus mark and clean window controls.
• A launch screen with the Atrium medallion while everything spins up, instead of the interface popping in.
• Global hotkeys: Ctrl+Shift+A toggles A/B compare and Ctrl+Shift+M mutes · even inside games and fullscreen video, with a soft confirmation cue.
• Scroll over the volume in the bottom bar to adjust it; middle-click the tray icon to pause or resume.
• Atrium Pro is now Signature Edition · the full personalized sound system. (Pricing: $9.99/mo · $99.99/yr.)
• The Home page's "For you" row now surfaces your recent rooms for one-click recall.
• The equalizer's presets are reorganized into tidy Moods and Activities groups.
• A quiet "what's new" note after each update, and the update prompt now finds you even on long tray sessions.

Your volume keys work again.

• Keyboard volume keys now control Atrium. While Atrium is enhancing your system audio, the volume and mute keys (and the Windows volume display) adjust what you actually hear · in sync with Atrium's own volume slider.
• Listening Insights now records across the whole app, with its on/off switch live in Settings → Privacy.

Simpler settings, smarter foundations.

• A new General tab (the first thing you see) gathers your output device, theme, UI sounds, launch-at-startup · and a Check for updates button that downloads and installs in place.
• The Spatial Realism, Performance, and Updates tabs are gone; their useful parts moved where they belong.
• Atrium can now remember your tuning choices and what was playing when you made them · the foundation for sound that adapts to you. Stored only on this device, never uploaded, with an on/off switch in Settings → Privacy.
• Your personalized profile is now called My Signature.
• Theme refinements: Platinum's light mode gets a soft blue backdrop, and visualizer grids, sliders, and edge highlights now render correctly in both light themes.

A mini player, two new themes, and a smarter bottom bar.

• A compact always-on-top strip · album art, track, play/skip controls, volume, instant A/B, and profile switching · for when the full window is more than you need. Open it from the bottom bar or the tray menu, drag it anywhere.
• Terracotta Light · the warm terracotta gold on bright cream.
• Platinum Dark · silver and ocean blue on dark slate.
• Platinum themes are part of Atrium Pro.
• The bottom bar got a redesign: media controls now sit dead-center and stay put, with your profile and environment grouped on the left.
• The tray's Pause/Resume label now always reflects the engine's real state.
• Atrium now always prefers the virtual audio cable as its input · fresh installs no longer accidentally capture the microphone.

Atrium becomes part of your system.

• Closing the window no longer quits Atrium · it keeps enhancing your audio from the system tray. Left-click the tray icon to reopen; quit from the tray menu.
• The tray menu can also pause/resume audio and switch app profiles without opening the window.
• New Launch at startup toggle (Settings → General) · Atrium starts quietly in the tray when you sign in, so your sound is always tuned.
• The bottom bar now shows the current track with album art, with play/pause and previous/next controls that drive the actual media app (Spotify, your browser, anything with media controls).
• Startup no longer sounds muffled. Atrium now fully restores your active room, its saved arrangement, and the spatial upmixer settings on launch · previously they only applied after re-clicking the room.

• Hearing tests that map your ears in about ten minutes · threshold, loudness sensitivity, sound separation, spatial hearing, and L/R balance. They use soft, gently *pulsing* tones (not steady sines) so even the faintest sound is easy to identify, with a Replay button whenever you want another listen.
• Per-ear (L/R) correction · measures the difference between your ears and balances it. Almost nobody gets this right.
• A personalization score that grows as you complete more, so you always know how tuned-in Atrium is.
• A precise, personalized equalizer built from your hearing profile.
• An optional linear-phase EQ mode for transparent, phase-perfect playback.
• A modern look-ahead limiter so boosted audio never clips or crunches.
• Loudness compensation that keeps bass and treble balanced at quiet volumes.
• A personalized structural HRTF · externalization, real front/back, and a genuine sense of height, tuned to your spatial-hearing results (or by ear).
• Acoustic environments · from a dry treated studio to a live concert hall · modelled from real room dimensions, materials, and early reflections.
• A 3D spatial mixer for arranging sources around you.
